At the Board of Trusee's Committee on Outreach, Development, and Communications Relations meeting today, new Director of Strategic Communications Lawrence Lokman presented the department's newest video campaign, called the "Brand Storybook," set to launch on Feb. 1. Penn State alumna Stephanie Wain spent her college career studying film and women's studies, and her hard work has paid off. Wain's film, Stones We Throw, won IndieWire's Project of the Month last year and is now competing for the Project of the Year slot, which allows the winner to attend the Tribeca Film Institute Filmmaker and Industry Meetings at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival.

In a public letter published today, President Barron announced the university's whopping $30 million investment in "economic development and student career success." With this new endeavor, Barron hopes to give Penn Staters' great ideas a chance to grow into useful products, and spur job creation and economic development throughout the Commonwealth in doing so.
