
Although it’s natural to be disappointed that you didn’t snag the coveted committee member role for THON 2015, that doesn’t mean that you can’t still play an important part in the THON community. There are plenty of ways you can still take part in the fight against pediatric cancer this year.

Being at such a large school with over forty-thousand students, it is often easy to overlook how diversified the Penn State community really is. And though we do not think about it often, there is so much we can learn from each other. The Global Engagement and Leadership Experience (GELE) is a unique opportunity for Penn Staters to break out of their comfort zones and learn more about each other in an open and constructive forum.

Tucked away in Kelly Alley off of Fraser Street lies one of State College's greatest treasures: Good Seed Baking Company. The company has been around for awhile, selling their wares at the farmers' market and other local institutions. But now the bakery has an address and store to call their own. The Bryce Jordan Center hosts an eclectic group of events throughout the year. From concerts to the career fair, there is almost nothing that the arena won't host. So naturally, when we found out that Penn State's Entemology department would be hosting "The Great Insect Fair" at the BJC, our minds were piqued. Now, we at Onward State like to take a different approach to events like this, so we decided to send three of our writers in different states of mind to the fair.

The Special Interest Association (SIA) is pairing with the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (DMAIG) this weekend to host a tailgate in honor of Coast2Coast Walker Norman Horn.
