UPUA election day is Wednesday, and the presidential candidates will get a second and final shot at winning votes via debate tonight at 6:30 in the HUB Auditorium. The debate will be moderated by Onward State sports editor and UPUA aficionado Zach Berger and Daily Collegian editor-in-chief Brittany Horn.

UPUA candidates should want their platforms to stand out. Eyad Saifaddin’s certainly does, but not for the usual reasons.
Saifaddin, one of 28 candidates running for 20 at-large seats in the 2014 UPUA elections, has relations with Israel atop his three-pronged platform. The bulletpoint on his platform reads:

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Penn State President Rodney Erickson had planned a tribute statement to Joe Paterno following his death, but the Board of Trustees canceled it.

As hip-hop hits of yesteryear provided him pizzazz and his informal persona kept the college crowd engaged, Daymond John told Penn State students they can be more than shark bait with a little love.

Penn State is a great place to be during any month of the year. That said, some months are better than others.
