State Theatre To Host Early Screening of “American Reunion”

A lot has happened since their graduation in 1999, and it's now time for the first East Great Falls High School Class of '99 reunion. Rumors have been spreading about the production of "American Reunion" for years, and now it's finally here. The movie is set to make a full release on April 6th, but if you can't wait that long, the State Theatre will be hosting an advance screening of the film this Tuesday, March 20th, at 8:00 p.m.

Penn State Hosting Boxing Regional Tournament Over Weekend

The Penn State club boxing team will host eight schools this weekend at the White Building gymnasium for the Eastern Collegiate Boxing Association Regional Boxing Tournament. The hometown Penn State team, Army, and Lock Haven are the favorites heading into the tournament's Friday start, which will also include fighters from Coast Guard, VMI, Shippensburg, Georgetown, Maryland, and UMass.

Pennsylvania Texting Ban Takes Effect Thursday

A law banning texting while driving that was signed by Gov. Corbett last November will go into effect when the clock strikes midnight on Thursday. The law makes it a primary offense to send text messages or emails, or to browse the internet, which means that you can get pulled over for using your phone without violating any other driving laws.

Just two weeks ago, Ron Musselman was named the new editor-in-chief of LazerPro Digital Media Group, our parent company, which also controls StateCollege.com, Altoona.com, and Williamsport.com. Levels Nightclub Finally Decides To Open After Break

The anticipation is eating away at State College more and more each and every day. Can Levels Nightclub possibly live up to the standard set by the Mezzanine, the building's previous occupant? We've been patiently awaiting an answer to that question, and it looks like that just might finally be coming. Levels posted on their Facebook on Wednesday evening, announcing a four-day opening extravaganza from Thursday, March 15th to Sunday, March 18th.
