The THON 2010 Line Dance wasn't the only non-football activity that took place on the field during the Blue-White game on Saturday. The Homecoming Executive Committee also revealed the logo for Homecoming 2010.
Public Relations Director Caitlin Rush said that the committee chose the winning logo, designed by junior Veronica Clauss, because they "wanted a design that was unique to homecoming, that people could look at and know it was homecoming's logo. We were looking for something that was clean, sharp, and professional. A lot of the designs fell into that category, but the one we chose was definitely a favorite from the start."

The Old Main bell stopped tolling in 1892, and today it rang again. The dedication ceremony for the restored and now displayed Old Main bell, the senior class gift of 2009, was held at 10.15 AM today at the west side of Old Main lawn. In addition to the bell, two other gifts were inaugurated: the Student Life Promenade, the 2005 class gift which illustrates 150 years of Penn State student life, and the 2008 gift, the Atherton and Curtain Gateway. All three projects were completed within the past month.

You say ‘tomato’, I say ‘tomahto’. You say ‘spring football scrimmage’, well we say ‘Blue and White weekend!’ This tradition, which we have come to know as the overdue midpoint between the next football season and the previous, has ingrained itself into Penn State lore just as much as the grilled sticky and the Creamery. Any guy out there with hair longer than your average fade knows what it's like to try to maintain a good look on top of our heads. Lucky for us, a lot of the time the messy style just happens without having to do anything, and sometimes we can roll right out of bed and look as model-eque as it gets. Just ask Rob Pattinson (left), whom hasn't washed or styled his hair since the last time his mom spit in her hand and fixed it for church.
But for us guys whose natural mess up top isn't always as appealing as Edward Cullen's, there is a need for some kind of product. We've seen a countless number of these fads: Grease, Mousse, Hairspray, Gel. All of which's ending result ends up looking way too wet, or way to stiff, or just plain weird. Recently, though, we've seen the release of many new products, like waxes and texture creams, that give us a happy medium between plain dry hair, and the dreaded "wet look".

The ratatat of a 50 Caliber Machine Gun firing blanks kept campers awake last weekend as cadets from our Air Force ROTC unit deployed to Penn State's camp grounds in Stone Valley on a field training exercise (FTX). Cadets were able to test their leadership skills and their air power battle knowledge in order to out-maneuver enemy forces led by senior cadets and active duty Air Force officers.
