Students who want to be part of the inaugural hockey season in Happy Valley will get their chance on September 10. Student season ticket for the 16 home games will go on sale in the HUB that day for $128, or $10 for individual game tickets.
There may not be a Football Eve celebration this year, but the athletic department is doing its best to get students excited for the start of the season in four days.

A few randomly selected Penn State students, faculty and staff will receive an email request to complete an online pilot culture survey about ethics and values so that Penn State can create an "aspirational document representing the type of university we want to be."
Since State College Mayor Elizabeth Goreham was elected in 2009, she hasn’t been able to marry any same-sex couples because it’s against Pennsylvania law. While she still doesn’t have the power to issue marriage licenses, she will marry same-sex couples if they have a license according to WJAC-TV.
Apparently, Penn State freshmen are happy. A recent Department of Education report ranks Penn State's freshmen 22nd out of all U.S. state schools in terms of retention - and ultimately, happiness.
