For the Future that We Wait: Attend Student Forum

Tonight President Erickson and seven other of Penn State's highest ranking administrators will appear in front of an entirely student audience to answer questions in a conversation moderated by rockstar professors Sam Richards and Laurie Mulvey. Tickets for the event are free and the conversation has no pre-set boundaries, no questions from journalists. This is a night for students and administrators to talk about what happened and how Penn State moves forward from here. This is a night for us to discuss the future that we wait.

Forecast Not So Good: Board of Trustees Possibly in Violation of Sunshine Act

When one gets over the hilarious fact that there is such a law titled The Sunshine Act, this is a relatively serious piece of news. The Pennsylvania version of said law requires public bodies to announce meetings to the public twenty four hours before they occur in order prevent secret meetings.

An Interesting “Conversation about Controversy”

Last night, the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism hosted “A Conversation about Covering Controversy.” A panel of esteemed journalists, moderated by Malcolm Moran, answered several questions from students regarding November’s events. The panel consisted of Mark Viera of The New York Times, Sara Ganim of the Harrisburg Patriot-News, Jerry Micco of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Christine Brennan of USA Today, and Jeremy Schaap from ESPN and ABC.

UPAC Approves Policy Changes

Last night, the University Park Allocation Committee voted to amend their policy handbook regarding travel costs and Standing Allocation status for campus organizations.

Lady Lions to Host No. 14 UNC on Wednesday

The No. 16/15 Penn State women's basketball team hosts No. 14/13 North Carolina on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The 5-1 Lady Lions are facing their best opponent of the season so far when they take on the 5-0 Tar Heels.
