
Entrepreneurship used to be something you could only learn about in a classroom in Smeal. But this Saturday, November 13, Penn State is hosting the Invention to Venture. Like TedxPSU, I2V is encouraging students to think out of the box and take initiative with their ideas.

Penn State started off their conference schedule with two wins against West Chester. After a hard-fought game at Penn State on Friday, the Icers won comfortably on Saturday in West Chester.

The White Building became a painted palace yesterday afternoon as members of the 13 captain committees and organization members revisited their favorite childhood fairy-tales and stories for "Once Upon a THON," the 13th annual THON Family Carnival.

For the second time this season, Penn State will be one of the featured teams on ESPN's College Gameday when the program airs live from Columbus, Ohio this coming Saturday.

Earlier this afternoon in the White Building main gymnasium, the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon Overall Committee revealed the logo for THON 2011. Designed by Ginsiorsky, the logo features a sailboat with two people looking over the bow.

After living and studying at Penn State for the past five years, there's little (if anything) that will surprise me anymore when I step out on to the streets of State College. Chicken-costumed students running laps in my lecture hall in Thomas Building, atheists protesting crazy religious groups that flock to our campus each semester, and girls doing the walk of shame at all hours of the day are only some of my favorite memories of college life.
But Halloween in State College? Now that is a horse of a different color.
