
The petition was created shortly after viral videos surfaced appearing to show rowdy groups of students partying outside East Halls Wednesday night.

Penn State received reports saying the fraternity hosted a social that depicted a large gathering without masks or social distancing.

The rooms are designed to give students a place to tune into their remotely instructed classes while still receiving a classroom experience.

Penn State and its police department didn't immediately respond to a request for comment on the reported gatherings.

Warren said the conference's leadership was "overwhelmingly in support" of postponing fall sports and stated the topic won't be revisited.

"Furloughs at a minimum, are in our immediate future."
