For a few minutes, it looked like Penn State basketball team was going to flip the script, and do to IU hoops what IU football did to Penn State back in October. However, it was for naught, as the Hoosiers took down the Nittany Lions, 79-76.
So, yes, a terrible incident did happen at Vanderbilt last year when Franklin was the coach, and now that he's our coach, it's worth knowing about. But rather than write some slipshod column based on half-truths and conjecture, let's focus on the facts of the matter and what is known.
It's already been reported that backup quarterback Tyler Ferguson transferred from Penn State, but it looks like he's finally made a decision about where he will head. As first reported by Mark Haas of Ferguson's hometown, the quarterback will enroll at Louisville for the spring semester.
It stands to reason, then, that Penn State should look at the unranked teams like thirsty bloodhounds, hungry to pick up winnable games in order to fill out that postseason equation. But it wasn't to be last night against Minnesota, and who knows if it ever will be this season.
