
The #8 Lady Lions will take on the unranked Buckeyes in the semi-finals of the Big Ten Tournament tonight in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

After great success last spring, the Penn State Coaches Caravan is back for a second straight year, making 12 total stops over a 10-day span beginning with lunch in Reading and dinner in Philadelphia on Tuesday, April 30th. The trip will be headlined by Bill O'Brien at every location with other coaches making appearances along the way.

Maggie Lucas was named Big Ten Player of the Year by the coaches and media following a 34-point performance against Nebraska last night. In addition, Coquese Washington was named Big Ten Coach of the Year by the media for the second year in a row.

The Penn State Lady Lions basketball team clinched sole possession of the Big Ten Conference title for the second season in a row after beating Nebraska, 82-67, in Lincoln on Sunday night.

After pulling off an improbable upset, a team will usually react one of two ways in their next contest. They will either build off the momentum of the previous game with a similar effort, or they'll stink up the place.
For Penn State, this one stunk.

For just the fourth time this season, the Lady Lions (23-4, 13-2) were handed a loss, this time by the Golden Gophers (17-12, 9-6) of Minnesota, 89-81. Set in Minneapolis Thursday night, and coming off of a huge conference title-clinching win against Michigan, Penn State couldn't get back on top after trailing by as many as 13 points in the second half.
