Tuesday night's matchup was a physical battle reminiscent of the 36-33 Penn State victory over Wisconsin in last year's quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament, but, unfortunately for the Nittany Lions, this time they would not have the same fate. Penn State (10-13, 2-8) led the entire game until there were about 15 minutes left in the second half, but stagnant shooting proved to be too much to overcome as Wisconsin went on to win 52-46 in front of a large student crowd.

The Lady Lions remain in Michigan for their next match-up on Sunday. At 3 p.m., Penn State will take on Michigan State in East Lansing. The teams met once already this season, with the Spartans coming out 75-65 victors. However, since that January 7 game, the teams have been going in opposite directions in the standings. Michigan State has lost its last four games, including a home loss to a struggling Illinois side. The Spartans will not prove an easy contest, but look for a Lady Lions win on Sunday.

Penn State dug themselves an early hole. Later on, Pat Chambers picked up a technical foul and Tim Frazier struggled to put his shoe on at one point. It was that kind of night for the Nittany Lions (10-12, 2-7) as they lost to No. 4 Ohio State (18-3, 6-2) 78-54.
