The Penn State women's basketball team lost for the first time in nearly a month by a score of 83-77 against Michigan State on Sunday. The next contest for the Lady Lions is at the Bryce Jordan Center on Thursday against Indiana at 7 p.m.

Fencing Team to Host Penn State Invitational

The Nittany Lions fencers hope for another good performance on Saturday in the Penn State Invitational, coming off the men's team's second place finish at the St. Johns Invitational last weekend. This weekend's tournament, to be held in the White Building, will kick off at 8:30 a.m. as the Nittany Lions host squads from Penn, Duke, Drew, Haverford, Johns Hopkins, and UNC.

Lady Lions Extend Win Streak to Five Against Michigan

The Penn State women's basketball team extended its win streak to five games after beating Michigan 77-56 in Ann Arbor on Thursday. Led by 23 points from Maggie Lucas, the Lady Lions never trailed en route to an easy road victory.

The Lady Lions remain in Michigan for their next match-up on Sunday. At 3 p.m., Penn State will take on Michigan State in East Lansing. The teams met once already this season, with the Spartans coming out 75-65 victors. However, since that January 7 game, the teams have been going in opposite directions in the standings. Michigan State has lost its last four games, including a home loss to a struggling Illinois side. The Spartans will not prove an easy contest, but look for a Lady Lions win on Sunday.

Frazier Hits Game Winner as Penn State Upsets Illinois

When Pat Chambers was hired by Penn State last June, he knew he had a tall mountain to climb. There were times this season when Penn State was left for dead, and many, including myself, had trouble finding another game on the schedule that they could win. And yet here we are, with ten games left before the conference tournament, and Penn State has proven that they can beat any team in the conference.
