Michael Pilato's famous mural on Heister St. has some new editions. Pilato unveiled the addition of former Penn State football player and Math Whiz John Urschel and Jasmin Enriquez, a recent graduate who started Only With Consent, a sexual violence awareness organization during the First Annual Herb Hand Pizza Crawl. The two were added to the Inspiration Mural as a surprise stop during the tour, which benefitted Uplifting Athletes and RAINN, the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network. The mural already features Kelsey Hirsch, the founder of Bands4RAINN, who raised more than $10,000 for the organization following Jerry Sandusky's arrest.

One sexual abuse victim support group, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP), took their disapproval of the new Joe Paterno statue to an official capacity, and released a pointed statement denouncing the new statue.

Central PA's 8th Annual Out of the Darkness Walk will be held on Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m. at Sidney Friedman Park in State College. Over the years the event has raised $350,000 for AFSP. More importantly, half of the money that's raised goes to suicide prevention and awareness programs in our area.

A bronze statue of Joe Paterno seated on a bench will be erected outside the Tavern Restaurant in November 2015. The statue, designed by sculptor Zenos Frudakis, is in response to Penn State's decision to remove Joe Paterno's statue from Porter Road in July 2012. At the time, President Rodney Erickson called the statue a “lightning rod of controversy.”
