Former Penn State defensive coordinator Bob Shoop is being sued by his previous employer for nearly $900,000 worth of damages he owes after leaving his contract with two years to spare in favor of the Tennessee defensive coordinator position.

“Keeping James at Penn State for a long, successful tenure is a priority," Barbour said in a statement. "We will announce these details when appropriate.”

RB Saquon Barkley, QB Trace McSorley, and TE Mike Gesicki were ranked as the 5th, 41st, and 81st best players in college football, respectively, coming off of the breakout 2016 season for the Nittany Lions.
