So, this was a fun week for Penn State football. We had our sanctions lifted, we had fun talking with our pals over at Rutgers , and, of course we had that great football game. And, to top it all off, we got a new recruit from none other than the great state of New Jersey. Unfortunately, not everyone had as great a week as ours, especially not Rutgers.

After collecting two interceptions against Rutgers, Trevor Williams has been named the B1G defensive player of the week.

The Rutgers game gave us much to ponder and discuss for the weeks ahead.

Penn State has received a commitment from linebacker Daiquan Kelly. Kelly, who hails from Union City in New Jersey, also received an offer from Rutgers. Kelly had previously committed to Syracuse, before flipping to Penn State.

And the long string of dominance against Rutgers continues! Thanks to some late game heroics from Christian Hackenberg and Eugene Lewis, Penn State moved to 3-0 on the season with a 13-10 win over the Scarlet Knights.

We did it, folks. We chopped Rutgers. It was a brutally long and horribly painful game to watch, but the Nittany Lions came out on top 13-10 after falling behind by ten points in the first half. Penn State looked to be down for the count in the fourth quarter but pulled off the kind of miracle victory that has defined this team over the last two seasons and change. With #RutgersHateWeek behind us and the game officially in the books, it's now time to take a look at what this game means in the big picture for an undefeated Nittany Lions football team.
