
Seven team captains have been named for the 2014 season, including sophomore quarterback Christian Hackenberg. Hackenberg is the second youngest Nittany Lion captain in school history, and the first sophomore to ever have the honor.

Adam Taliaferro and Eric LeGrand, two former football players who suffered career ending spinal injuries, have been named game captains for the Penn State-Rutgers matchup on September 13th.

Last season, Geno Lewis played in the shadows of Allen Robinson and Brandon Felder. This season, he is ready to steal the spotlight and take over the number one receiver role.

Penn State announced that rising sophomore tight end Adam Breneman is "out indefinitely" with an undisclosed injury, a very unfortunate blow to a strong tight end corps that James Franklin said Penn State would rely on in 2014.

Michigan announced that it will wear special jerseys for the Penn State "Under the Lights" game in October.
