
The new Beaver Stadium scoreboards aren't scheduled to be completed until the summer of 2014, but the process began this week as Curtin Road closed. The road will remain closed until approximately January 31, 2014 according to Penn State.

Five Penn State football players, headlined by quarterback Christian Hackenberg, have been named to the Big Ten Network's All-Freshman Team. The team features Hackenberg, running back Akeel Lynch, defensive tackle Austin Johnson, and linebackers Brandon Bell and Nyeem Wartman. Two additional Penn Staters -- tight end Adam Breneman and wide receiver Geno Lewis -- were named honorable mentions.

DaQuan Jones, an All-Big Ten selection for his play this season on the defensive line, has accepted an invitation to play at the 65th annual Senior Bowl, according to GoPSUSports. The game will take place on Saturday, January 25 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, and can be watched on the NFL Network.

Penn State is known as Linebacker U and not Quarterback U for a reason. Throughout Penn State’s illustrious football history, we found 17 quarterbacks that took at least one snap for Penn State and at least one snap in an official NFL game, or its historical equivalent. Only nine of those quarterbacks were drafted into the NFL -- but don't tell that to Matt McGloin.
