Bill O’Brien’s weekly Tuesday press conferences are typically an opportunity to discuss the team, last week’s game, and the coming Saturday matchup. But that wasn’t that case this afternoon as O’Brien essentially refused to discuss the Nittany Lions’ 44-24 loss against Indiana in Bloomington this past weekend, instead opting to discuss the coming matchup against Michigan.
Troy Stivason, a kicker from Athens, Pennsylvania, has committed to walk-on to the Penn State football team.Stivason received offers from Buffalo and Akron, but instead chose to walk on to the Nittany Lions 2014 squad. He attended Penn State’s home opener against Eastern Michigan along with nine other recruits.
A 5’11’, 168 pound senior at Athens High School, Stivason officially announced his decision through his Instagram with the caption:
Penn State Athletics is offering students the chance to trade in their student section tickets for this weekend's game against Michigan for several interesting ticket packages.
These observation recaps tend to be a lot tougher to write after a loss. Add the fact that it was Indiana, and not only a loss but an ass kicking, and well, yeah, it was a pretty miserable, rainy day in Bloomington.
It's certainly tough to stay positive after a 42-24 loss on Saturday to the Indiana Hoosiers, a team that Penn State had a 16-0 record against entering Saturday, but this isn't the first time that the Nittany Lions have faced this type of adversity.
Penn State lost to Indiana for the first time on Saturday, falling by a score of 44-24 in Bloomington, Indiana. There should be credit given to Indiana and their Coach, Kevin Wilson, for having a great game plan and executing it to perfection.
