An email from IFC President Dean Vetere to all current chapter presidents says the Panhellenic Council has changed its rules to allow sorority members to attend dry events at fraternity houses.
The program is not for profit and it's open to requests from anyone -- small businesses, individuals, or other organizations.
"We are focusing less on what we cannot do and more on what we can," Panhellenic Council President Amanda Saper said.
Though the Beta Theta Pi house is privately owned and on private property, Penn State is working with the alumni board (which owns the house) to offer these members on-campus housing for the remainder of the semester.
The university revoked recognition of Beta Theta Pi fraternity in light of recent events and investigation for at least five years and also impossed strict regulations on the Greek community.
The Interfraternity Council announced this morning that members of its executive board who are in Phi Kappa Psi fraternity are stepping down from their positions, including IFC president Alex Frederick. Dean Vetere will take over as president.
