Now it seems The Skeller won't face the guillotine after all. The Herlocher family released an open letter Tuesday afternoon addressed to the Penn State and State College communities, insisting on their shared value of tradition in this town we all know and love.

Following outrage over the closing of The All-American Rathskeller, the Herlochers released an open letter to the Penn State community.

Kerr broke his wrist in the second period of Penn State's 4-0 victory over Ohio State, but surprisingly did not leave the game.

The Skeller is a place where generations come together and make memories. One memory in particular highlights this, and it's why the spirit of the Skeller should continue to live on.
"All things considered, I’m cautiously optimistic that the Herlocher’s local purchase of the Foster Building will achieve some degree of good conservation, although it’s a tragedy for the distinctiveness of State College to lose the Skeller in the process."
