
"Nobody's trying to either renovate Beaver or build a new stadium just to be doing it," Athletic Director Sandy Barbour said. "There's a recognized need. I've not run into anybody that doesn't recognize that need."

In preparation for Penn State's matchup against Army this Saturday, the University Archives will host the fall football festival, "Marching Down The Field: Preserving Penn State Football Memories," on Oct. 2, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

At 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, Brandon Polk has typically been the smallest player on the field throughout his young football career. Despite his miniscule stature, Polk's been able to make a significant impact on Penn State's potent offense -- making his physical attributes nothing but an afterthought.

The 2014-15 Nittany Lions had their best record ever, posting an 18-14-4 mark in the regular season. Some of the program's best players ever have left the program, but its best recruiting class ever is coming in. Our staff expects that to culminate in another winning record, but time will tell how much (if any) improvement we'll see.
