The Penn State football team's academic performance for the spring semester was announced today, and it was impressive. Forty-six members of the team earned at least a 3.0 grade-point average, with three players earning a perfect 4.0 GPA.

That relationship comes to an end today, as the Council of the American Bar Association’s Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar (gulp) approved the University's request to operate two independent and fully accredited law schools.

At today's Penn State where so many of our leaders fall into a robotic, impersonal -- yes, heartless -- abyss, honorable intent is at least a start. If nothing else, David Joyner had that.

A Penn State professor and four Penn State graduates were named among NerdScholar's "40 Under 40: Professors Who Inspire," a list that celebrates professors who "are cultivating passion in their students."

Fan-made pump-up videos are all over Youtube, but this one that has been making the social media rounds recently could be the best of them.

Athletic Director David Joyner will step down from his post, possibly by the end of the week, according to David Jones of Pennlive.
