Prominent Playwright and Actress to Perform Tonight

Dael Orlandersmith, a well-established playwright, actress, and poet, will perform her solo piece "Black n Blue Boys/Broken Men" tonight at the Penn State Downtown Theatre Centre at 7:30. Orlandersmith talked to some theatre students yesterday after she got into town.

Four Former Nittany Lions Invited to NFL Combine

Center Matt Stankiewitch, defensive tackle Jordan Hill, and linebackers Michael Mauti and Gerald Hodges were among the 333 college football players to receive an invite to the NFL combine which will take place from February 20-26 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

NCAA Files Motion to Dismiss PA’s Lawsuit

The NCAA responded to Pennsylvania's lawsuit today, saying that Pennsylvania does not have grounds to sue the NCAA over an issue of discipline.

"This lawsuit is an inappropriate attempt to drag the federal courts into an intra-state political dispute," the response states. "The remedial measures that Penn State agreed to were controversial, and have elicited strong feelings on all sides. Some think they are too harsh, and some think they are too lenient. But none of those feelings have anything to do with the antitrust laws."
