Frequently cited spokeswoman Lisa Powers testified for over an hour this morning. Powers served as Graham Spanier’s speechwriter for seven years before taking over as the director of Public Information, a position she currently holds.

Testimony in the preliminary hearing for the three embattled former Penn State administrators charged with concealing child sexual abuse is scheduled to continue this morning at 9 a.m. at the Dauphin County Courthouse in Harrisburg. If all goes according to schedule, proceedings should wrap up mid-afternoon as Judge William Wenner claims only three witnesses are left to testify.

Senior Vice President for Finance and Business Gary Schultz’s assistant testified that she delivered her boss confidential documents about Jerry Sandusky after becoming aware that the former football coach was charged with sexually abusing young boys. At this point in November 2011, she also knew about the investigation surrounding Schultz but "just wanted to help him out."

After a brief recess, director of university police Thomas Harmon continued to receive questions about the correspondence between administrators and law enforcement about Jerry Sandusky.
