
Last week was certainly an interesting time to be on staff at Onward State. After breaking the story that Chi Omega was under investigation by Panhel for a photo one of its members posted on Facebook, the reaction was both immediate and scattered. But what does it mean for Penn State and moving forward?

It was a successful recruiting weekend in Happy Valley as Penn State hosted its verbal commits for the 2013 Class and received four additional commitments today in linebacker Zayd Issah, linebacker Jonathan Walton, defensive back Anthony Smith, and receiver DeaSean Hamilton.

The Penn State Women's Volleyball team has earned a trip to the Final Four for the fifth time in the last six seasons. The Lions beat Kentucky 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-12) on Friday, and defeated #8 Minnesota 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 26-24, 25-20) on Saturday to advance to the national state in Louisville, Kentucky.

In front of a packed Rec Hall on Sunday afternoon, the top-ranked Penn State wrestling team shutout #37 Indiana 52-0, picking up 6 pins in the process.

The No. 10 Lady Lions crushed Georgetown 97-74 behind a record-setting performance by junior guard Maggie Lucas. Lucas went on an absolute tear in the first, tallying 20 points in the first 10 minutes and 26 by the half. Her 39 points on the game broke the BJC's single-game scoring record by either a men's or women's player, and tied the third-best scoring performance by any Penn State basketball player in history.
