The Lunar Lion team -- composed of Penn State students, faculty, and engineers from the Applied Research Laboratory -- will be participating in Google Lunar X PRIZE, a competition to land a privately-funded robot on the moon. I was able to sit down with Lunar Lion Team Lead Michael Paul to discuss everything from the project itself to his views on the evolution of the aerospace industry to Penn State's role in the future of space exploration.
When former Penn State student Brandon Kelley finished writing the script for his film "Coach" in March of 2011, he hadn't even heard of Jerry Sandusky. As the news unfolded, however, many opposed the idea of Kelley making his movie due to the coincidental similarities in the two stories regarding child abuse and molestation.

Just two weeks ago, Penn State was trailing Kentucky and rival Nebraska in a vote for the EA Sports NCAA Football 14 cover. Instead of enshrining just one player on the cover as they have in past years, EA will be putting an entire university's football team on the 2014 cover. 32 teams have endured the first round of voting to move on, and EA is again asking for fans of each remaining school to participate in a vote, asking, "Which school do you want to be on the cover of the next NCAA Football?"
It appears that two of the great Penn State community favorites--@IrvingsPSU and @psucreamery--have joined forces. Rumors of the Irvings food arrival at the beloved Berkey Creamery were substantiated by the following photos posted on Facebook.
