According to a press release on the Engagement Space launch, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members will be requested to offer their input and feedback in an online survey to help build and develop the functions of the Space.

The new statement says Penn State received news from Harrisburg today that the budget impasse continues, "as elected leaders continue to fail to come to an agreement on the fiscal plan."

President Barron will announce a final decision later this semester -- Penn State would be the 11th Big Ten school to implement tobacco-free policies.

"This funding may be in jeopardy and we need your help," Barron wrote, saying that Pennsylvania residents should "contact their state legislator to encourage them to finish the state budget and fund Penn State."

"We have expressed our obligation to free speech, which prohibits our removal of posters from general purpose bulletin boards on campus based solely on content. We, however, want to emphasize our strong opposition to the racist ideology espoused by those who are posting these fliers."
