
Eight months since that moment of darkness, corporate America has good news for Penn State. Cars.com VP of Marketing, Linda Bartman, announced that her company believed there was a positive aura surrounding Penn State football. Unless the program descends into the abyss again, Cars.com will advertise on ESPN when the Nittany Lions take the field during the 2012 season.

Are you tired of the overcrowding at the Intramural Building? Do you wish the building design wasn’t so dull inside and out? If you answered ‘yes’ to either of these questions, you’re in luck, because Penn State will begin construction on additions and partial renovations to the IM Building in February of next year.

Penn State students are engineering an innovative and simple design for clipboards to incorporate smartphones or the iPad called Clipboard+. Using Kickstarter, the students are hoping to raise $10,000 for the project before July 18th.

Tim Benedict, a forest science major at Penn State, made it to the STIHL Collegiate Timbersports Championship for the third consecutive year, competing in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee from June 1st to 3rd. For the first time in his lumberjack career, Benedict won the national competition.
