UPUA election day is Wednesday, and the presidential candidates will get a second and final shot at winning votes via debate tonight at 6:30 in the HUB Auditorium. The debate will be moderated by Onward State sports editor and UPUA aficionado Zach Berger and Daily Collegian editor-in-chief Brittany Horn.

Penn State will welcome 2011 Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman to campus on April 9 as part of Women's Empowerment Week . Karman will speak at 8 p.m. in Alumni Hall.

The voting is over, and Samantha Golay and David Gaddy are your 2014 Penn State Homecoming emcees!

It's that time of the year again. After what seems like an entire year of winter, Mother Nature has finally graced us with some much-needed sunshine, which means at least one thing here at Penn State – daylong season. Just like any other party, there is a list of unwritten rules that one must abide by to insure each precious day of daylong season is executed correctly.

UPUA candidates should want their platforms to stand out. Eyad Saifaddin’s certainly does, but not for the usual reasons.
Saifaddin, one of 28 candidates running for 20 at-large seats in the 2014 UPUA elections, has relations with Israel atop his three-pronged platform. The bulletpoint on his platform reads:

While going to class every day might seem like a drag to most of us (senioritis anyone?), to Life Link students it is an incredible opportunity to learn about independence, life skills, and of course gain knowledge.
