With 19 days to go until the beginning of THON Weekend 2014, over 70 THON families made an advance trip to the Bryce Jordan Center for the annual THON Hoops.
We sat down with Suzanne Graney, Director of the Four Diamonds Fund, for 10 Q&A’s on what she works on with the Executive Committee, the behind-the-scenes of THON, and what inspires her to do everything FTK.
Earlier this week, I asked for those dancing in THON to share their stories of why they're dancing. Because of all the great stories we received, we've decided to feature three dancers each week leading up to THON weekend.
Her battle began around March of last year when she began to notices twitches and small movements. After suffering multiple seizures, the diagnosis was confirmed as cancer. Since the last time we caught up with Kayla, she has hit a couple of "speed bumps," including being taken out of a chemotherapy study and put into a different one because her low blood levels called for a blood transfusion in late November.
The newly renovated online THON store was revealed to the public on Monday to “provide the best customer experience for people who want to support THON by purchasing merchandise.”
More details are emerging about THON's new digital line procedure to help alleviate the line issues that have arisen in recent years.
