
Norman Horn, of Phoenixville, Pa., will spend seven months on a 3,100-mile journey this year, with all proceeds donated to THON 2015. He will travel from San Francisco to the Jersey Shore to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer, his goal being to raise $250,000.

Brittany Hicks and Chris Carmody's original song "Diamonds in the Air," which they debuted at the Mr. and Mrs. THON Pageant last month, was released on iTunes on Friday. Hicks and Carmody came up with the idea of writing an original song about THON when the two were selected as Mr. and Mrs. PR for the Mr. and Mrs. THON Pageant. “Diamonds In The Air,” which features Carmody playing the guitar and rapping and Hicks singing, was a combined effort between the two earlier in the semester.The song is available on iTunes for $0.99, and all proceeds benefit THON. Hicks and Carmody decided to release it on iTunes after the song's widespread popularity following its debut at the Mr. and Mrs. THON Pageant.

Heartbreaking news has rocked the THON community over the recent week: Seven-year-old Laney Brown, a Penn State Berks' THON child, only has a few weeks to a few days to live. But through a robust Facebook page maintained by her family, the overwhelming support of the community -- both THON and beyond -- and a fighting spirit, Brown is making the most out of these trying days.
