The CEO of Penn State Hershey Medical Center penned a letter of thanks to all those who helped THON raise a whopping $13,343,517.33 For The Kids. This brings the total donated to the Four Diamonds Fund since 1977 to more than $114 million.
There are obvious hashtags that go hand-in-hand with THON across Twitter, Facebook and Instgram -- #THON, #THON[insert year here] and #FTK are some big ones. So the Penn State IST Consulting Group tasked itself with recording the social media activity surrounding THON, and the results are both cool and expected.
That noise you hear is the gauntlet being thrown down from down south.
While the Bryce Jordan Center was filled to capacity and the THON total was being revealed on the opposite side of campus, the wrestling team was taking care of business at Rec Hall, the previous site of THON, as it took down Clarion, 43-3.
