At the behest of Mark Emmert, Penn State football will miss the postseason, including the B1G Championship Game, for the next four seasons. This should mean that the Nittany Lions finish their season with only twelve games. However, the benevolent NCAA provides a way Penn State can play a thirteenth game -- one that would be a bonus for the players.

According to the Centre Daily Times, Bill O'Brien's contract as head coach of the Nittany Lions football team has been extended four years until 2020. This comes as part of an agreement with athletic director David Joyner when O'Brien first signed with the school that allowed for automatic extension equal to the number of years that the team may be sanctioned for.
