Reactions from the Penn State community have been strong, so it's worth taking a step back to realize we don't have all the facts yet. Here's what we know so far, what's disputed, and what we're still trying to figure out.
Although he's not a Penn State alumnus himself, Clifford clearly recognizes the importance of the Skeller and all that it stands for in the hearts of Penn State alumni for the past 84 years. By our estimates using Penn State's historical enrollment numbers, more than 500,000 Penn Staters have had the opportunity to drink a beer at the Skeller during their time as students.

Penn State men's basketball was unable to complete the 17-point comeback against the Wisconsin Badgers losing 64-63.
Onward State alumnus Dave Cole created the petition to #SaveTheSkeller that's already garnered nearly 300 signatures.
