In the State College music scene, 2015 has been the year of Mute Cities. The local favorite won the Battle of the Bands, earning them a spot as the opening set at Movin' On 2015.
A Penn State graduation photo of a different sort will be held this Sunday -- a Penn State black graduates picture will be taken on May 3, at 1 p.m., on the steps of Old Main.

The band finished its set at the Phyrst last semester and “Build Me Up Buttercup” came on over the speakers. Most people continued with their conversations as usual, but I turned and glanced at at the dance floor. There were my parents, dancing in each other's arms to the song that they used to dance to years ago at the Gaff.
The loss concludes Penn State's first season in the Big Ten with a 5-9 record, including back-to-back wins over conference foes Rutgers and Michigan to qualify for the tournament.
