Defense Files a Response to the UPUA iPad Fiasco, Board Votes for a Hearing

The wheels of justice continue to turn as new developments this afternoon come out about the recent UPUA iPad fiasco. The defense -- Spencer Malloy, Chair of the Assembly, John Zang, Chief of Staff, and Courtney Lennartz, President -- has submitted responses to the Board of Arbitration for both of the complaints.

THON Announces Dance With Us Initiative

THON announced today the first ever “Dance With Us” celebration, a globally coordinated line dance. The initiative is the first of its kind, and will take place THON weekend February 16th at 6:45pm. The goal is to have THON enthusiasts worldwide all perform a 30 second line dance at the same time. This will give everyone who is unable to be at the BJC THON weekend a chance to partake in the fun and awareness of THON weekend.

Oxfam Penn State to Host “Hunger Banquet” on Jan. 16

Next Wednesday, January 16, the Penn State chapter of Oxfam will co-host an Oxfam America Hunger Banquet® with two other student organizations, Food for Thought and Global Brigades. The event is an interactive hunger simulation that inspires people to action to fight hunger and poverty worldwide.

Penn State Crushed by Northwestern, 70-54

What was billed as a winnable game for Penn State turned into a blowout as the Northwestern Wildcats (10-6, 1-2 Big Ten) blew past the hapless Nittany Lions for the 70-54 win. The game was not even as “close” as the final score indicated.
