
After becoming a folk hero in State College this year, Craig Fitzgerald is receiving a bit of national attention. He is one of the three finalists for the 2012 Strength and Conditioning Coach of the year award by the Football Scoop website.

When he's not doing work for THON or getting more involved in Homecoming and the Penn State Filipino Association, Charles Ferrer is creating new ideas for the Bergenfield Board of Education, of which he is the newest member.

The HUB will be filled with the indie beats of Brooklyn-based band, DIIV, with opening acts, the Infected Flies and Pantomime Dame. This is a free Thursday night show, hosted by SOMA at Alumni Hall beginning at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7:30 p.m.

The Panhellenic Delegate Council announced that it had extended an invitation to Delta Delta Delta (Tri Delta) to rejoin the Panhellenic council, but the sorority's Executive Board has voted unanimously not to accept the invitation.

Onward State sat down for a video interview with the one-man-band to get a feel for the musician who's bringing an interesting artistic appeal to the streets of State College.

Environmental groups have successful lobbied the University to turn its steam powered plant over to natural gas. However, the Board of Trustees have decided that it would be unwise to construct a natural gas pipeline through campus because it could hurt infrastructure. The university has been meeting with residents of State College to transport the fuel on a street that parallels State College.
