
Football is finally back, as are Onward State's staff predictions. We're reasonably optimistic that a win is on the way for the soon-to-be 1-0 Nittany Lions.

Penn State football features nine players from Maryland, 18 from New Jersey, and about 50 from central or eastern Pennsylvania. Obviously not all are Eagles fans or have connections to Philly, but a large portion of the team will play in friendly territory this weekend at Lincoln Financial Field.

Though there are a handful of new and exciting Penn State traditions on the horizon, we could never forget about the amazing ones that have remained stable throughout time.

Don't sleep on Temple, Penn State fans. The Owls return 11 starters from last year's elite defense and should prove to be more of a test than most are giving them credit for.

James Franklin made a bet that Little Leaguer Braden Kolmansberger wouldn't drill a 30-yard field goal. Franklin lost the bet.
