
Penn State administrators announced they hope to boost student morale by playing the line dance across campus every hour.

"It took a while for everything to really sink in and start feeling real, but I know how incredibly fortunate I am to have this opportunity to be involved as a student for another year."

THON got some recognition from the PA House of Representatives yesterday after it passed a resolution honoring the accomplishments of Penn State students this February.

Smith was also a Rules & Regulations Committee Member for THON 2014 and 2015 and a Rules & Regulations Volunteer Safety Captain for THON 2016 before heading one facet of the R&R committee for THON 2017.

"So I decided to follow the Magic Squid, hoping it would guide me back to dancer storage because I thought, 'Why would Magic Squid deceive me?'”

Being a THON dancer is no easy task. Dancers will inevitably hit a wall, but it's what motivates them through this low point that's truly inspirational. We asked the THON 2017 dancers what kept them going in the final hours of THON.
