Local Politicians Tweet Support for THON

Senator Bob Casey and Representative Glenn Thompson are both FTK.

The U.S. Congressman and Senator tweeted out their support for #THON2014 earlier today, with Thompson even announcing his plans to attend THON tonight.

Despite never attending Penn State, Casey is a native of Pennsylvania and has vocally supported of THON in the past, even filing a resolution to congratulate THON in 2012. Thompson is a Bellefonte native, a Penn State alumnus, and has supported Pennsylvania’s 5th congressional district since 2008. He congratulated THON two years ago before Congress.

While these two may not have the national recognition of Khloe Kardashian, it’s always great to see notable people vocally supporting THON. Hopefully the support keeps coming in!
