THON Releases First Promo Video Of The Year

THON released its first promotional video just in time to inspire hopeful committee members and newly appointed captains.

The emotional two minute and fifty-six second clip highlights all the important aspects of THON. It gives a healthy balance of background about The Four Diamonds Fund, while still showing enough footage of the event itself. It’s the perfect combination to get freshman excited to experience their first ever THON, and to remind everyone why we dance.

The video starts by sharing some sobering statistics about pediatric cancer, and gives viewers a glimpse into the life of a cancer patient at Hershey Medical Center. The promo then swiftly changes to a more hopeful mood as THON 2016 Executive Director Katie Mailey gives the lowdown on what THON exactly is: canning trips with your friends, the life-changing experience of surviving 46 hours of standing, the revealing of the grand total, and, of course, the kids that make every second of THON worth while.

Watch the video that could thaw out even the coldest of hearts. We dance in 158, Penn State!
