[Live Blog] The 2024 NFL Draft
Penn State football is back in Detroit for the second time this year.
Over a dozen Nittany Lions are hoping to hear their names called in the NFL Draft, which runs from Thursday, April 25, through Saturday, April 27. Eight Nittany Lions were taken, with Olu Fashanu and Chop Robinson going in the first round. Caedan Wallace and Adisa Isaac heard their names in the third round while Theo Johnson and Hunter Nourzad went in the fourth and fifth rounds, respectively. Daequan Hardy was also chosen in the sixth round with Kalen King being taken in the seventh.

7:14 p.m.: That’ll do it for Onward State’s coverage of the 2024 NFL Draft. Eight Nittany Lions were drafted this year, including two in the first round.

6:44 p.m.: The Packers draft quarterback Michael Pratt in the seventh round. Sean Clifford has some more competition in Green Bay.
6:22 p.m.: We’re headed towards the last 20 picks of this year’s draft. Seven Nittany Lions have been drafted thus far.
5:58 p.m.: We’re two picks into the seventh round now. Six Nittany Lions are still on the board.

4:12 p.m.: The Vikings open up round six by taking Oklahoma tackle Walter Rouse.
4:09 p.m.: The Jets have the last pick in the fifth round and take Qwan’tez Stiggers from the CFL. Two rounds to go.

2:45 p.m.: We’ve got another quarterback gone. Spencer Rattler is headed to the Saints with the 150th overall pick.
2:30 p.m.: With the No. 147 overall pick, the Denver Broncos select running back Audric Estime. Only 110 picks left, folks.
1:58 p.m.: With the No. 137 pick, the Los Angeles Chargers select Maryland corner Tarheeb Still.
1:48 p.m.: With the No. 134 pick, the New York Jets select Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen.
1:45 p.m.: The Eagles and Lions have completed a trade. The Eagle receive the No. 164, No. 201, and a 2025 fourth-round pick for the No. 132 and No. 210 picks.
1:31 p.m.: With the No. 128 pick, the Philadelphia Eagles select Clemson running back Will Shipley.
1:30 p.m.: The Lions traded up with the Jets to select tackle Giovanni Manu from British Columbia, Canada with the No. 127 pick.
1:29 p.m.: It was just announced that the 2024 NFL Draft is the highest-attended draft ever.
1:22 p.m.: With the No. 125 pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Oregon running back Bucky Irving.
1:15 p.m: Sketch just announced that the Houston Texans select Ohio State tight end Cade Stover with the No. 123 pick. Stover reunites with former Buckeye quarterback C.J. Stroud.
1:14 p.m.: The first special teamer has been selected. Iowa punter Tory Taylor was just selected by the Chicago Bears with the No. 122 pick.
1:12 p.m.: With the No. 121 pick the Seattle Seahawks select Michigan tight end AJ Barner. Barner played at Indiana before his time with the Wolverines.
1:10 p.m.: The Philadelphia Eagles trade the No. 120 pick to the Miami Dolphins and draft Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright.
12:56 p.m.: A quarterback has not been taken in 100 picks after six went in the first round.
12:53 p.m.: The Bengals draft Iowa tight end Erick All with the No. 115 pick. Before his time with the Hawkeyes, All was the tight end for Michigan.
12:46 p.m.: With the No. 113 pick, the Baltimore Ravens select Devontez Walker a wide receiver from North Carolina.
12:44 p.m.: The fourth Oregon Duck is off the board this round. The Packers trade up with the Jets to draft safety Evan Williams.

7:17 p.m.: After Roger Goodell brought the 32 people who will announce the next round of picks and several members of Michigan’s 2024 championship-winning team onto the stage, the Buffalo Bills select Florida State wideout Keon Coleman with the No. 33 overall pick.
6:52 p.m.: Good evening everyone, we’re under 10 minutes away from the start of night two of the 2024 NFL Draft. Two Nittany Lions were selected last night, as Olu Fashanu was drafted by the New York Jets with the No. 11 overall pick, and Chop Robinson was drafted by the Miami Dolphins 10 picks later. Several Penn Staters remain on the board, including Adisa Isaac and Theo Johnson, who could hear their names called as early as tonight.
Day One
11:52 p.m.: That’ll do it for night one of the 2024 NFL Draft. A record six quarterbacks were taken in the top 12 picks and no defensive player was selected for 14 picks, the longest streak in draft history. We’ll be back tomorrow for rounds two and three.
11:50 p.m.: TRADE: The Bills trade the last pick in the first round to the Carolina Panthers who select Xavier Legette, a wide receiver out of South Carolina.
11:45 p.m.: The San Fransisco 49ers select Florida wide receiver Ricky Pearsall with the penultimate pick in the first round.
11:37 p.m.: With the 30th pick in the draft, the Baltimore Ravens select Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins.
11:30 p.m.: The Dallas Cowboys, with the 29th pick in the draft, select Oklahoma offensive lineman Tyler Guyton.
11:24 p.m.: ANOTHER TRADE: The Buffalo Bills trade the 28th pick to the Kansas City Chiefs. With the pick, the Chiefs select Xavier Worthy, wide receiver out of Texas.
