Pistol Peg (and the Beer Kegs) are a six-piece band from Altoona, PA led by siblings Mark and Jill Simanski. They may only cover modern country music, but they maintain a rock n’ roll persona throughout their first THON appearance with heavy guitar licks and heart-thumping drums.

As THON 2013 draws nearer, many groups and committees are overwhelmed with anticipation for the weekend. Luckily, there is a trendy, new meme taking YouTube by storm that one THON organization, Atlas, has mastered as a way to bottle up their excitement into a 30 second clip. Although their genre of music is mostly affiliated with the 90's, one Penn State band is the defibrillator to kick start the hearts of Ska fans everywhere. The Wondershop Showdown have been on the music scene since the Fall of 2010, but have clearly made a name for themselves within the past year. Now they are entering another stage of their music careers by playing arguably the biggest show at Penn State: THON 2013.

When former Penn State student Brandon Kelley finished writing the script for his film "Coach" in March of 2011, he hadn't even heard of Jerry Sandusky. As the news unfolded, however, many opposed the idea of Kelley making his movie due to the coincidental similarities in the two stories regarding child abuse and molestation.
