Onward State

As of a few days ago, Penn State was losing to Michigan State in the PSU – MSU Blood Donor Challenge. Well, as of a few hours ago, we are now officially winning the blood collection race! BUT… not by much!

The Current Scores (as of Tuesday evening):

PSU – 1548

MSU – 1523

That’s only a difference of 25 units!

To both a) BEAT Michigan State [very important] and b) meet the collection goal [even more important], the Student Red Cross Club (SRCC) is aiming to bring in at least 500 donors before the end of Thursday.

If you’re interested in donating, you can visit the blood drives being held in Alumni Hall in the HUB. These drives will be accepting walk-ins, but the SRCC is recommending that you make an appointment on their website.

So make sure you do your part to bring some glory to Old State by helping beat Michigan State and potentially saving up to 3 lives in the process!

Three Words: For the Glory

When I sat back one night in January thinking about my time at Penn State, I tried to come up with a single word that would adequately describe my experiences here. As I attempted to determine what that magic word might be, my mind began to grasp the absurdity of that challenge. How could I possibly distill four years of my life, countless friendships, and untold numbers of memories, down to a single word? An impossible task to be sure. So instead, I took the easier road and went with three words: For the Glory.
