Mini THONs Raise Money

Over 50 high schools throughout Pennsylvania danced in Mini THONs this past weekend, helping raise considerable funds for Four Diamonds. One such school, Cumberland Valley, raised $61,792.05 this year.

According to the THON website, Mini THONs made up for 10 percent of donations to the Four Diamonds Fund in 2008 and have raised about $4 million to date!

Renowned Author Toni Morrison to Speak Tonight

Last month, the wonderful Maya Angelou delighted a packed house at the Eisenhower Auditorium as part of the 2009-2010 Distinguished Speaker Series. Continuing with literary greats, the Paterno Fellows Program is hosting renowned African American author Toni Morrison at the Eisenhower Auditorium TONIGHT at 8 p.m.


She will be receiving the Arts and Humanities Award tonight for her contributions to Penn State’s Arts and Humanities. Expect another wonderful speech from another outstanding African American author.
