Get Him to the Greek at Penn State

Thanks to everyone who voted in Eventful’s “Get Him to the Greek” contest, the cast of the upcoming comedy is headed to (slightly off) campus for an advance screening of the film.

The screening will be at 7:30 p.m. April 19 at Premiere Theatre 12 near the Nittany Mall. Unfortunately, the film has to be shown at an official movie theater, but the M Bus leaving Allen Street at 7:01 will make it to the theater on time. The next day Jonah Hill (Superbad, Knocked Up) and Russell Brand (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) will be on the HUB lawn to sign autographs, starting at noon.

Tickets for the movie will be available for free at Evangelista’s Cafe starting today at 11 a.m. There are a limited number, so make sure you get there early if you want to get one.

We’ll be interviewing Hill and Brand for the site after the showing, so put any questions you want us to ask them in the comments below!

Southern Kitsch and Sweet Tea at Cracker Barrel

After several months of anticipation, I was finally able to check out State College’s new Cracker Barrel on its opening day. Located at 215 Colonnade Blvd., there are few surprises at the chain’s new location. With rows of rocking chairs out front, checker boards and a game of peg solitaire at every table, I could have been at any franchise location in the country — not that that’s a bad thing.
