Penn State Volleyball Cruises at Home

Penn State volleyball owned the state of Michigan this past weekend as they swept both Michigan State and Michigan in consecutive days, 3-0 on both games.

The #4 ranked Nittany Lions were led against Michigan State Friday by three hitters posting double digit kills. The balanced attack included Arielle Wilson and Deja McClendon each with 14 kills a piece while Blair Brown chipped in with 10 kills of her own. Penn State as a team totaled 47 total kills with a .293 attack percentage as opposed to the Spartans 30 kills and .095 attack percentage.

Saturday, the Lions completed the Michigan sweep at home against the Wolverines. Deja McClendon again led the team in kills with 14. Penn State also played a strong defensive game as Katie Kabbes had seven blocks and Arielle Wilson was right behind her with six.

Penn State looks to continue their strong play on the road next weekend as they travel to Indiana and Purdue in Big 10 action.

Oct. 9th- at Indiana at 7:00  p.m.
