Administration Hosts Roundtable With Student Leadership

Student leaders from various high-profile campus organizations are set to meet with University Administrators this morning at the Nittany Lion Inn to discuss the University’s fundraising activities, budgeting and tuition setting, according to an email obtained by Onward State sent yesterday morning by Vice President for Student Affairs Damon Sims.

The roundtable meeting, led by Sims, will be attended by Executive Vice President and Provost Rod Erickson, Executive Vice President for Finance and Business Al Horvath, and Executive Vice President for Development Rod Kirsch. Sims wrote to the students that the meeting will allow them to ask questions and “should be able to offer a brief primer to you on these matters and respond to specific related questions you or your constituents may have.”

It is currently unclear as to what organizations, and their respective leaders, have been deemed influential enough to attend this meeting.

If you were to be included in the roundtable, what would you like to ask Sims, Erickson, Horvath and Kirsch?

Three Words: For the Glory

When I sat back one night in January thinking about my time at Penn State, I tried to come up with a single word that would adequately describe my experiences here. As I attempted to determine what that magic word might be, my mind began to grasp the absurdity of that challenge. How could I possibly distill four years of my life, countless friendships, and untold numbers of memories, down to a single word? An impossible task to be sure. So instead, I took the easier road and went with three words: For the Glory.
