Icers Split Weekend With Ohio

The Penn State Icers lost their first game of the year against the highly ranked Ohio bobcats on Saturday. The loss was part of a split series between these fierce rivals.

Democratic senatorial candidate, Joe Sestak, held a rally on the steps of Old Main yesterday for a crowd of roughly 100 students and citizens.

Part of a last-minute push to get out the vote, the rally boasted a diversity of speakers, including State College's Mayor Goreham.

Friday night, the Eagles rocked and rolled the Bryce Jordan Center as part of their "Long Road Out of Eden" tour. Since these older bands have early bedtimes, the concert started promptly at 8 p.m. with no opening bands.

Rendell Appoints New Members to Board of Trustees

In his final weeks as governor of Pennsylvania before the November elections, Ed Rendell has appointed two new members, Mark H. Dambly and Paul H. Silvis, to the Penn State Board of Trustees and has also reappointed standing member Ira Lubert.
